The Dedication
On October 6 my husband and I arrived Israel to unveil the memorial stone for our loved ones. Hanna and Mike and their friends came from the USA. On October 9 we all met in Holon cemetery to unveil the stone.

I was delighted to see so many people - the survivors with their children and grandchildren and relatives. For me, it was the happiest day of my life that I had achieved such a big thing. I stood looking at that stone and couldn't believe it was true. I felt very emotional when Hanna and Mike unveiled the stone and he said a few words, and my cousin said a few words, and of course, I did too and told them all about my visit, everything that I had seen and heard. I asked their children and grandchildren not to forget the roots where they came from and to remember each year to come and visit that stone.

I had brought back sand and stones from the grave in my village and my husband and I buried the sand under the stone in Israel. It was a very moving service. The rabbi said Kaddish. The survivors were crying, thinking about their families, but these were also tears of happiness that after 50 years, they were alive to see a memorial stone in Israel to their families.
